The Kreativ Blogger Award

I was blog hopping the other day (week?) when I found that I'd been nominated for another award. This one is called the Kreativ Blogger Award, and it was passed on to me by Resident Gamer. To accept, I need to list 10 randoms facts about myself, and then nominate 6 other blogs.

Random Facts:
1. I am a huge fan of Spongebob Squarepants.
2. As much as I like movies today, I would pick a good book over one any day.
3. Despite spending a considerable amount of my childhood around swimming pools, I never quite managed to learn how to swim.
4. My favorite reality TV show till date was a British show called Fame Academy; it was a sort of cross between Big Brother and American Idol.
5. My favorite movie actor used to be Vin Diesel for some reason. But based on quality of recent performances, I'd say it is now between Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeremy Renner.
6. I've had the song, "Burn It Down" on near-constant repeat for over a month now in anticipation of the new Linkin Park album, "Living Things."
7. I still don't think The Avengers has any chance of surpassing Avatar and Titanic at the box office.
8. I know this is not a fact, but why, oh why, has the release of the Rockstar video game GTA V been shifted to 2013!?
9. I've been struggling to find the time to read Veronica Roth's Insurgent for the past three weeks now, which is a testament to how distracted I've been of recent.
10. It's taken me nearly two weeks to write this post.

Nominees:
1. Pensuasion
2. Sarah Allen
3. Scouring Monk
4. Empire's 5-star 500
5. The Geek Twins
6. Kyd Evolution

P.S: I've been planning towards something major; a project with almost six years in the making. More on that in the near future.

  1. Awesome!

I don't think the release date for GTA V has ever been officially hinted at yet. There's been rumors saying everything from this October to next gen. Don't give up hope yet, it might be soon. :)

    1. It's definitely current gen, as the graphics from last year's trailer/teaser suggests. The question now is whether or not it comes out this October or early next year as analysts and insiders say (assuming there are no delays). This is like GTA IV all over again.

  2. Hey thanks Michael! Interesting facts. I'm a huge SpongeBob fan myself. I don't own any merchandise, but have been singing the song since before my son was born. Now we sing it together.

  4. Vin Diesel is hugely underrated (after being overly hyped), so that's the really great thing about the whole Fast & Furious franchise revival. There's going to be another Riddick movie because of it!

Thanks for the nomination, too, but I'm a little confused as why there's got to be rules for receiving an award.

    1. Yeah. Heard about the new Riddick movie. Hugely looking forward to that. Hope it moves the (unplanned) franchise forward in a meaningful way, so we can be guaranteed of more sequels.

As for the rules, I'm just as confused as you are. But I guess they go with the territlory. :))

  7. Congratulations!
Funny you never learned to swim. Doubt the Avengers will pass Avatar, but it's going to creep really close to Titanic's numbers.

    1. Yeah. I think so too, although I also think it might very well still get dethroned as highest grossing movie of the year by either The Dark Knight Rises or The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

    1. And I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who'd been slow to jump on the Veronica Roth bandwagon. :)

  9. Congrats on the award, Michael! We have a few things in common: I'd pick a book over a movie, I LOVE Linkin Park, Leo DiCaprio & Jeremy Renner! I haven't decided whether or not I'll read Insurgent. I wasn't very impressed with Divergent.

    1. Neither was I. It didn't exactly blow me away or anything, unlike The Hunger Games, which I'd read immediately after. But I still think it was an impressive debut all the same.
